Musician – Entrepreneur – Prodigy
Nabil Yousef is an author and music composer. Born on 4th November 1979 in Qamishli Al-Hasakah which is one of the Syrian governorates. His parents are Yousef Noya Yousef (1925) and Mariam Atneil (1938). He is the youngest of ten children.
In his childhood, Nabil's early months were marked by his serene response to music. His mother and sisters took note of the fact that he didn't cry when he heard piano music, and they began using lullabies and piano pieces to help him sleep.
By age 6, Nabil could sing all the familiar kids' songs of the time. When he turned 12, his father gave him a harmonica as a present, and his sister Samira gave him a melodica. These gifts opened up a new world of musical possibilities for Nabil, and he began to experiment with his own ideas.
After finishing high school, he studied in the Faculty of Agriculture at Dier El-Zore University in Syria, where he graduated in 2002. He started his profession by adding a flavor of music to his interests that later grew into a whole lot of passion and dreams for Nabil.
But Nabil's background meant that he couldn't join a musical institute or take music lessons when he was younger. Yet, he spent a lot of time playing the melodica and got tips from those who heard him play. But then Nabil met a musician called Jalil, who played the accordion and taught Nabil about music theory and songwriting. This was the first time that Nabil had a chance to learn about how music works.
after he moved to Sweden Nabil could learn Music Theory 1 & 2 from Linné University & Luleå University. But this did not stop Nabil from climbing more and more into music knowledge and acquiring them professionally.
Then Nabil studied Arranging, Composition & Music Theory at Luleå University and will obtain his degree in 2022. To keep chasing his dreams, he kept experimenting with music, sound production, and composing from a very young age.
Nabil is a versatile composer, capable of writing in a variety of styles. His folk music is full of emotion, with a gentle touch and dramatic details. His pop music is catchy and easy to remember, with simple phrases and a light, airy sound.
To continue this magical experience, he is studying Music Analysis at Uppsala University and will obtain his degree in 2022.
Over the years, he has developed a keen ear for music and has a great understanding of music theory.
The classical music he composes is elegant and balanced, with beautiful melodies and intricate details. No matter what style he is writing in, Nabil always manages to infuse his music and vision. His musical influences include traditional Syriac church hymns and great middle Eastern composers such as the Rahbani brothers, Zaki Nassif, and Ihsan Al-Munther.
All of these artists have helped to shape his musical style, which is a mix of traditional and contemporary elements.

He grew up listening to these genres of music, and he wanted to share his love for them with the world. His albums are filled with beautiful melodies and instrumentation, and they are sure to please any fan of these genres.
“Nabil feels that he is full of music inside. He can’t imagine himself alone without music. When he talks, walks, or writes he feels that there is a musical idea waiting to come out. This happened early in his life. So, it wasn’t influenced by someone. But it was a natural feeling that there is a music idea inside himself that needs to come out to the light.”
